Rosetta Stone

Hey, I’m Lief — a PhD economist based in the UK, turning crypto volatility into research papers and Python scripts.

I recently completed my PhD at University of Bath, where I modelled Bitcoin price dynamics using VAR, Markov-Switching, and GARCH family models. My thesis explores macro-crypto linkages, regime-dependent dynamics, and volatility spillovers across a decade of daily data.

I write about econometrics, quantitative finance, personal knowledge management, and the occasional life reflection. Currently transitioning into industry and sharpening my Python skills along the way.

Outside of work, I watch anime, collect good films, take photos, and mass-stream Rosé.
